Is WorldFans safe? Can I trust it?

At WorldFans, keeping you and your content safe is our priority.

We have lots of security protocols and industry-leading functionality to do just that, so you can focus on what you do best – creating amazing content!

Secure your account

We recommend that you add extra security to your WorldFans account by turning on two-factor verification in the settings.

You can select to use a code from Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator as an extra security level every time you log in. Alternatively, you can ask WorldFans to remember you for 30 days, so you only re-authenticate monthly; the choice is yours.

Support if your login is compromised

If you fear that someone has compromised your login details, then you can check out your account activity in the settings section. We recommend you change your password straight away and add on two-factor authentication for extra protection.

You can also send a ticket to our support team if you are unable to re-enter your account.

Add a watermark to your content

You work hard to produce the best-quality content exclusively for your subscribers, so we do everything we can to keep your content safe.

WorldFans gives you the option to watermark all of your content, as added copyright protection. You can turn on this feature in Settings under Privacy and Security.

We also have a specialist Copyright Team there to support you if your content is shared on other sites without your permission. We recommend that you report it directly to the other website immediately, and then let us know so we can follow-up with the site owners on your behalf.

Choose who you interact with on WorldFans

The vast majority of WorldFans users are terrific. If you do attract content from someone who makes you feel uncomfortable, then we have two features to support you:

  • You can block that specific user, which prevents them from seeing your content, engaging with it and messaging you. To do this, head to your subscriber list, find the individual you want to block, click the three dots next to their name and select the block option.
  • You can follow the same process to restrict the user, which takes away their ability to comment on your content and to message you. In this scenario, the user can still view the content that you are posting and they have the option to like it.

You’re in control of your profile

WorldFans gives you many options for what information you do and don’t share on your profile. For example, you can choose to make your profile text hidden, and you can hide your number of fans and earnings, amongst other things.

Use common sense

As with all social media channels, it’s important to be conscious of what personal information you do and don’t share online. For example, it’s wise not to share private information such as your home address and your personal phone number. WorldFans provides you with secure direct messaging functionality so you can connect personally with your fans in a safe environment.
